April’s Story
A trailblazer in both the corporate and motivational worlds, April's journey began at an early age. From selling greeting cards at nine years old to drawing inspiration from her childhood hero, motivational icon Zig Ziglar, she learned the power of perseverance, grit, and self-belief. By twelve, April knew she wanted to inspire others, and that dream became her life’s work.
April’s corporate career was marked by remarkable success, several executive positions building and leading teams including her early favorite role as a pioneer in sales techniques for the groundbreaking, the then Fortune 500 telecommunications company MCI. Her leadership as Regional Sales Director earned her MCI’s coveted Most Valuable Player Award. Despite her achievements in the corporate world, April felt the calling to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a full-time speaker and coach. She left at the peak of her career to dedicate herself to what she does best—helping people, especially women, dream big and achieve even bigger.
Today, as the founder of Fanatical Dreamher, April is on a mission to support women of all ages in their journey toward fulfilling their deepest ambitions. Through the Fanatical Dreamher podcast and her coaching programs and workshops, April connects with dreamers from all walks of life, guiding them through challenges and helping them overcome obstacles to turn their visions into reality. Her high-energy, can-do attitude, paired with decades of experience, makes her a catalyst for women looking to break through barriers and embrace their full potential.
April’s coaching style is rooted in her belief that “life isn’t what happens to you, but how you react to it.” She helps her clients tap into their inner strengths, showing them how to face life’s challenges with optimism and take-charge solutions. Whether she’s working with women just starting out in their careers or those seeking a new direction, April is committed to helping each individual chart a path to their dreams.
April is deeply passionate about empowering the next generation of female leaders. Through her work with young girls, she has conducted dozens of seminars on topics such as love of self, attitude, goal setting, increasing self-esteem, making friends, using your voice, and following your dreams. These sessions were tailored for two groups—girls entering middle school and girls entering high school—helping them navigate these critical life transitions with confidence and purpose. Her involvement with organizations like Dove® Self-Esteem seminars and the Girl Scouts of America showcases her dedication to fostering self-belief and leadership skills. Under her guidance, her Girl Scout troop earned the prestigious Bronze Award, the highest honor for their age group, for their exceptional service to the community.
With a BA in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Counseling, April combines her academic background with her extensive corporate experience to offer a holistic, heart-centered approach to coaching. As a registered corporate coach (RCC), April’s expertise has been sought by leading companies like AT&T and Sprint, but her true passion lies in helping individuals—especially women—realize that the key to success is already within them.
April is also a contributing author to the best-selling anthologies Chocolate for a Woman’s Soul, Chocolate for the Lover’s Soul, and Chicken Soup for the College Soul.
